Our fully integrated value-chain enriches an uncompromised standard of quality, food safety and traceability from farm-to-fork. Driven by our mission, this is a promised that we have honoured, creating a legacy trust just among our consumers, but also among our local and international partners.

A History of Successive Expansions
The roots of Pussalla date back to 1988, when it began as a small family-owned chicken farm. This was followed by four decades of successful transformation, expanding into breeding and hatchery, meat processing, as well as retail shops and poultry feed production, while upgrading into state-of-the-art automated plants.
Pussalla’s journey began with a small family-owned broiler farm, which has now expanded into 9 modern broiler farms.
Within 3 years, Pussalla farms are raising “Parent Stocks” that produces fertilised eggs for hatching. Currently we have grown into 5 breeder farms in total.
Within another year, our first hatchery was started where fertile eggs are incubated and hatched into chicks. Today Pussalla possess a total of 3 hatcheries including Sri Lanka’s largest hatchery.
By 1995, Pussalla chicken is processed and packed through our own plants, which has expanded into 2 plants with modern technology and processes
Pussalla Introduces Sri Lanka’s first Meat Supermarket chain, providing a holistic meat buying experience to the consumer. Our retail chain consists of flagship stores, meat shops and farm shops, with over 100 outlets around the country.
Our Grand Parent farm expanded our business into the initial tier of poultry industry. Today, our Grand Parent farm produce high-quality Ross 308 breeder chicks, supplied to our own as well as to other farms.
Going beyond fresh meat, our line-up was upgraded with processed meat factory. Today it processes over 50 varieties of world class value-added meat varieties such as Sausages, deli meats and marinated meat
Our expansion into poultry feed production, ensured consistent supply of nutrition-rich feed for the chicks raised. Currently, our feed is also supplied to many other farms in the country
Providing a holistic meat buying experience to the consumers, Pussalla has opened 7 flagship stores that include all the fresh and value-added meat varieties
Pussalla’s processing plants go automated, minimising manual processes and ensuring greater consistency and quality.
